Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister of ICT and National Guidance, revealed that census gadgets will be given to parish chiefs for Parish Development Model (PDM) work. Baryomunsi disclosed this while handing over laptops to local government authorities. All census tablets will be collected and later distributed to aid parish chiefs in managing PDM data. At the handover, 163 laptops were given to the Ministry of Local Government. The gadgets will facilitate monitoring PDM implementation by Chief Administrative Officers and Town Clerks. Baryomunsi emphasized the importance of tracking resource usage and beneficiaries’ impact. Minister Raphael Magyezi stated that 6,000 parish chiefs will receive the gadgets. Dr. Aminah Zawedde, the Ministry of ICT’s Permanent Secretary, reported 874,790 PDM beneficiaries and 1,739,590 PDMIS users.
