In his address, Gen Kainerugaba, who also serves as the Senior Presidential Advisor – Special Operations, emphasized the potency of servant leadership in fostering positive transformation within the military through acts of exemplary service. He stressed, “Human beings are inspired by your actions.”

During the lecture, Gen Kainerugaba shared insights on the essential attributes of a servant leader, such as empathy, humility, and a keen understanding of the emotions and circumstances of the troops under their command. He urged the cadets to prioritize the well-being of their subordinates and extend support during times of adversity.

Additionally, Gen Kainerugaba encouraged the cadets to embrace a mindset of continual self-improvement, advocating for a willingness to acknowledge mistakes and glean wisdom from others. “Leadership,” he remarked, “is not synonymous with perfection but rather with ongoing personal growth.”

Among those in attendance were Brigadier General Bonny Geoffrey Wolimbwa, the Commandant of the Basic Military Training School in Kaweweta, along with senior officers and instructors.
