Ugandan soul musicians Kenneth Mugabi, Myko Ouma, and Sewa Sewa are teaming up for a unique music concert, promising to showcase the cream of Uganda’s culture and heritage.

The “Pride of the Pearl” concert, scheduled for July 7th at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel, aims to celebrate Uganda’s rich cultural heritage. Organized by Soul Events Africa, the event is set to highlight the essence of Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.

“We chose these artists because they are the best in the country at the moment,” stated Jonathan Kayongo of Soul Events Africa. Myko Ouma, known for his expertise in guitar and composition, joins Ssewa Ssewa, the mastermind behind the Janzi instrument, known for blending Ugandan sounds with various instruments. Kenneth Mugabi, acclaimed for his soulful vocals and acoustic guitar skills, completes the trio.

During a press conference, Ouma hinted that the concert could become an annual event, continuing to explore the country’s musical heritage.

Tickets for the event are priced at Shs 500k per seat and Shs 5 million for a table of ten. Additionally, all concertgoers will be treated as VVIPs. Kampala Sheraton, the host venue, announced significant room discounts for attendees, with single rooms available for as low as Shs 150k.
