Kitara FC

Masindi, Uganda – Kitara FC continued their dominance in the Ugandan Premier League, dismantling URA FC 3-0 at Masindi Stadium on Thursday.

Early Goals Set the Tone

Kitara wasted no time asserting their control. Denis Omedi capitalized on a swift counterattack, converting a Kabon Living assist to open the scoring early. URA’s offside appeals were denied, handing Kitara a crucial lead.

Kitara pressed for more, and their persistence paid off in the 37th minute. Jude Semugabi rose above the defense to head home a perfectly placed corner from Paul Mucureezi, doubling Kitara’s advantage.

Red Card Hurts URA’s Chances

The tide turned decisively when URA substitute Ivan Ahimbisibwe received a red card for an elbow on Paddy Muhumuza, leaving the visitors shorthanded.

Kitara capitalized on their numerical advantage. Substitute Najib Yiga played a perfectly timed through ball to Living Kabon, who chipped the URA goalkeeper in the dying moments to secure all three points for Kitara.

Disappointing Result for URA

The defeat was a bitter pill to swallow for URA FC and coach David Obua, whose team had hoped for a stronger showing. URA remains in seventh place with 31 points from 21 matches.

Busoga United staged a remarkable comeback to salvage a 2-2 draw against Soltilo Bright Stars FC at Kakindu Stadium. Sharif Nsereko and Issa Bugembe gave Bright Stars a two-goal lead, but Jeremy Matata and Franco Mugomba netted for Busoga United to earn a vital point.
